Why do you think some married people feel stuck?

Once a man gave a lift to a lady who forgot her wallet in his car (at least that was her version). The next day the lady called to say she forgot her wallet and they arranged to meet at a park so she picked up her wallet.

On getting there, the lady opened her wallet and said her money was missing and that it was a hundred thousand, next she began to scream and in a short time, a mob had gathered and a lot believed her story and threatened the man to pay or face their rout.

After a long while, he made a transfer of hundred thousand to her just to save himself.

On getting home and telling his wife, just concluded that he had a thing to do with the lady and started dishing out commands which were met with stain resistance by the man.

Resistance!

The problem of control and resistance in marriage.

Yes many people enter a marriage relationship with a deep fear of losing themselves. The moment they notice their spouse wanting control over them, they build a fence around themselves in a bid to protect themselves but this is not the solution to the problem.

This causes withdrawal in the marriage. You can imagine what happens in a marriage where one spouse is controlling and the other is resistant, the marriage becomes immobilised. Spouses in this marriage system feel frustrated, stagnant, and resentful.
